We are committed to creating a high-quality environment for our employees, where they can find a balance between work and life, and relieve stress while promoting their physical and mental well-being. We arrange for nurses to care for employees' physical and mental health outside of their work hours and conduct regular employee health check-ups. This cultivates a culture of wellness in our workplace, and we aim to bring more joy and growth to our team.

 

We provide our employees with a variety of sports resources and encourage them to engage in regular physical activity to maintain vitality. Our company gym is equipped with a range of fitness equipment, and we regularly organize Pilates exercise groups and various activities to attract more employees to join the ranks of those leading an active lifestyle. We offer a great place for post-work fitness activities.

 

We actively promote a culture of sports within the company by organizing various events and activities to bring employees together and create a lively and festive atmosphere. Some of our initiatives include:

1.     Z-Sport i Sports Day: An all-inclusive sports event that encourages participation from all employees. It's a day filled with excitement and teamwork.

 

2.     Z-COM Health Challenge - Taiwan Cancer Foundation 2023 Walkathon: A collaborative effort with the Taiwan Cancer Foundation to promote health and support a meaningful cause. It's a great opportunity for employees to come together for a healthy walk.

 

3.     Brain Awakening Fitness Classes: These classes help employees stay mentally and physically fit. It's a time for everyone to gather, boost their energy, and have a great time.

(1)、Gender Equality Policy and Family-Friendly Workplace Measures:

Z-COM places a strong emphasis on labor rights and ethical business practices. In addition to implementing policies related to human rights, we adhere to relevant government regulations, including the Labor Standards Act, and establish "Work Rules" to outline the rights and responsibilities of both the company and its employees concerning human rights. We believe in fair and humane treatment and respect for every employee's fundamental human rights and related interests. To ensure this, we have formulated "Measures for Preventing Sexual Harassment and Punishment" and established channels for complaints to safeguard the rights of female employees. We have also implemented a labor rights policy to guide the entire company in adhering to social responsibilities related to labor rights and labor conditions.

As part of our commitment to social responsibility, we not only create employment opportunities but also actively cultivate a family-friendly workplace environment. We have been recognized with the "Health Promotion Administration's Health Workplace Certification" and the "Double Standards for Health Promotion and Smoking Prevention" due to our efforts. Approximately 50% of our workforce is comprised of both male and female employees, and we offer flexible working hours to accommodate family needs. Additionally, we provide employees with access to a fitness facility, showers, and a comfortable lactation room. We also offer travel subsidies and organize various employee activities to promote a healthy work-life balance.


 

(2)、Employee Compensation, Retention, and Recognition:

Z-COM’s compensation and benefits system is designed to be fair and impartial, irrespective of gender, age, race, or any other factors. Our aim is to ensure equal and just treatment for every employee while providing motivation and incentives. We annually review market salary trends to maintain competitive compensation, attracting and retaining top talent and fostering mutual growth for employees and the company. To assess compensation for management-level positions, we have established a Compensation Committee responsible for evaluating policies related to management-level compensation and the reasonableness of individual rewards.

(4)、Employee Welfare Measures

In addition to complying with the Labor Standards Act and government regulations, we have established an Employee Welfare Committee. Apart from providing various subsidies for employees' marriage, bereavement, illness, and childbirth, we regularly organize events such as parties to boost employees' physical and mental well-being and enhance their interaction.

We have established an "Employee Welfare Committee" that allocates funds monthly to organize regular employee welfare activities. These welfare plans include birthday vouchers, holiday vouchers, employee health promotion and leisure activities, subsidies for marriage, bereavement, and childbirth, in-hospital visitation allowances for employees and their dependents, year-end party raffles, health check-ups, group insurance, and more. Additionally, we provide the following welfare measures:

1. Special leave benefits exceeding those mandated by labor law from the date of employment, including 5 days of paternity leave for male employees.

2. Dining and rest areas equipped with LCD TVs for relaxation.

3. Free parking for employees, satisfying their parking needs.

4. Dedicated spaces for female employees for breastfeeding.

5. Various equipment for employees to stretch, exercise, and stay fit.

6. Year-end parties to show appreciation for employees.

7. Employee education and assistance programs for employee 

8. Access to Starbucks coffee beans and freshly ground coffee machines.

9. Travel subsidies to encourage employee participation and strengthen family bonds.

10. Support for positive family values, including a marriage allowance of 5,000 NT dollars per person and a childbirth incentive of 3,000 NT dollars for each child born to employees.

 

(5)、Training and Development

We prioritize employee growth and are dedicated to talent development. We actively encourage employees to participate in various training courses and engage in self-directed learning. Our training programs encompass onboarding for new employees, quality improvement, environmental safety, and we fully subsidize external professional training to enhance our employees' skills and knowledge.

 

(6)、Retirement System and Implementation

We have established an employee retirement policy that calculates an employee's years of service in accordance with the Labor Standards Act, with a maximum limit set at 45 times the basic salary. The calculation and payment of employee retirement benefits are carried out according to relevant regulations. Starting from July 1, 2005, with the implementation of the Labor Retirement Act, employees have the freedom to choose between the old and new retirement systems. Our company also follows the relevant regulations to deduct 6% of an employee's monthly salary and deposit it into the individual retirement pension account at the Labor Insurance Bureau.

 

(7)、Labor-Management Agreements and Employee Rights Protection Measures

We prioritize employee welfare and care. We regularly hold labor-management meetings to gather extensive feedback from employees and address issues concerning both labor and management. We have also established an email for suggestion to provide employees with a platform to voice their opinions and concerns. This approach helps us maintain open communication and continually improve the working conditions and rights of our employees.

 

(8)、Employee Code of Conduct

Employees are expected to strictly adhere to the company's code of business ethics while performing their daily work and duties. This is to maintain the company's reputation and earn the respect and trust of customers, suppliers, and the broader community. The main points of this code include:

1.No Personal Gain Through Position:

Employees should not use their positions to benefit themselves inappropriately. They should not accept hospitality, gifts, or any other illegal benefits in connection with their duties.

2.Confidentiality of Company Information: Employees are prohibited from disclosing any confidential business information or intellectual property of the company to anyone, whether during their employment or after they leave, without proper authorization.


All employees are expected to comply with this policy and related procedures, and supervisors at all levels should actively enforce and ensure that their team members understand and adhere to these regulations.

 

(9)、Work Environment and Employee Personal Safety Protection Measures

All hardware and software facilities in the office environment prioritize the safety of employees as the top consideration to ensure that employees receive maximum protection while working. All entrances to the company premises are equipped with access control card readers for access control, along with security personnel to ensure the personal safety of employees. Security personnel are also stationed to safeguard the personal safety of employees.


Human Rights Policy

Our company places great importance on promoting labor rights and ethical business practices. In addition to adhering to the guidelines and principles of the Global Reporting Initiative's (GRI) G4 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines, we have established and implemented policies related to human rights. We also comply with relevant laws and regulations, including the Labor Standards Act, and have formulated a set of "Work Rules" to outline the rights and responsibilities of both the company and its employees concerning human rights. Furthermore, to safeguard the fundamental human rights and related interests of our employees, we firmly believe that every employee should be treated with fairness, humanity, and respect. For this purpose, we have developed measures to prevent and address sexual harassment, along with providing channels for reporting such issues, in order to protect the rights of female employees. In line with these commitments, we have established a labor and human rights policy that guides our company to adhere to social responsibilities related to labor rights and working conditions.

nNormal Employment Relationship

Our company follows proper procedures for hiring and termination of employment for all employees, in accordance with local national laws or guidelines. We do not engage in forced labor, labor exploitation, or unilateral termination of employment contracts.

nProhibition of Overtime Work

Our company adheres to standard working hours in compliance with local national laws and industry standards. We adopt the standards that are most favorable to our employees, and we do not require regular overtime work. Overtime work should be voluntary, and employees should receive equivalent compensation.

nChild Labor

Our company strictly prohibits the illegal employment of child labor. We also prohibit child labor from working during the hours between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM or engaging in strenuous or hazardous work, in accordance with the International Labour Organization Convention No. 138 and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

nNon-Discrimination

Our company implements equality policies for all employees in accordance with local laws. We prohibit any form of discrimination based on race, social status, nationality, religion, age, disability, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, union membership, or political affiliation in hiring, compensation, training, promotion, continuation of employment, or retirement.

nProhibition of Inhumane Treatment

Our company strictly prohibits any form of inhumane treatment, including physical harm, improper corporal punishment, threats of physical or sexual harassment, verbal abuse, or any other form of intimidation.

nRespect for Freedom of Assembly, Association, and Collective Bargaining Rights

Our company respects employees' freedom of assembly and association, establishing effective communication channels to facilitate harmonious communication between labor and management.

Salary and Benefits

Our salary and benefits system is committed to treating all employees fairly, regardless of gender, age, race, or other factors. We regularly reference market salary trends to ensure that our compensation levels remain competitive, aiming to attract and retain top talent. This helps employees and the company grow together towards mutual success.

For executive-level compensation, we have established a Compensation Committee to review policies and ensure the fairness of individual rewards. In addition to salary compensation, Z-COM Technology provides a range of benefits to comprehensively care for every employee.

In China subsidiary, we comply with the People's Republic of China government's regulations for the social insurance system. Monthly contributions to the pension insurance fund are made based on a fixed percentage of the local employees' total salaries. Retirement benefits for each employee are managed and coordinated by the local government, and our company handles this in accordance with the law, ensuring security for our employees.
