▌  LEAD

As AI workloads increasingly move toward the edge, infrastructure architecture must evolve beyond cloud-dependent management models toward an operational layer capable of local compute and AI-assisted operations.

(Taipei, June 2, 2026) Z-COM, Inc. today officially launches NEW — an edge-native infrastructure platform — at Computex 2026 (Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Booth K0327a), introducing a unified operational architecture centered on local-edge deployment for enterprise environments, and announcing the full integration of the AS710 Wi-Fi 7 AP into the NEW unified operational architecture under centralized Cronus WLAN Controller management.

▌NEW: Edge-Native Infrastructure Platform NEW (Network Extension with Wire and Wireless) introduces an edge-native unified operational architecture deployable through zMEC edge infrastructure nodes — consolidating network control, wired and wireless access, AI-enabled services, and energy management into a single operational layer, with fully cloud-optional deployment.

One architecture. Local compute. Cloud-optional.

NEW adopts a modular service design — five functional modules dynamically combined to match deployment requirements, with white-label licensing available:

▸  Cronus WLAN Controller

Core wireless control layer — centralized AP management, RADIUS authentication, Portal integration

▸  Wireless Network Visualization

AI-assisted RF visibility and operational analytics

▸  Precision Location Module

[Advanced] Wi-Fi 7-powered indoor positioning and deployment intelligence

▸  EMS Energy Management

[Advanced] AI-driven energy analytics supporting operational efficiency and

sustainability initiatives

▸  Security Cybersecurity Add-on

[Advanced] AI security ecosystem integration with flexible plugin architecture

▸  Witty, Z-COM's AI Operations

     Assistant

An agentic AI operations assistant purpose-built for wireless infrastructure —

continuously monitoring Cronus and AP environments, with contextual awareness of RF

behavior, infrastructure topology, client connectivity, and wireless performance

conditions.Proactively detects anomalies, initiates remediation workflows, and supports

human-in-the-loop approval mechanisms. Delivered as a lightweight, rapidly deployable

edge application through containerized deployment architecture.

Licensing tiers — Standard, Advanced, and Enterprise — scale on demand.

▌ Edge Infrastructure Node: Full Operational Capability in a Single Node

The NEW unified operational architecture is delivered through zMEC edge infrastructure nodes — a single device integrating network control, local compute, AI-enabled services, energy management, and security, with unified firmware management that substantially reduces deployment complexity and integration cost.

The node is available in three form factors — 1U Standard Rackmount, Fanless Rugged Server, and Desktop Network Appliance — with full support for local AI workloads.

▌ Wi-Fi 7 AP: AI-Ready Wireless Infrastructure Layer

Z-COM's AS710 Wi-Fi 7 Indoor AP — recognized by the 2025 National Brand Yushan Award — is now fully integrated into the NEW unified operational architecture, managed centrally by the Cronus WLAN Controller. Enterprises can manage their complete wireless infrastructure — from Wi-Fi 7 to Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 5 — through a single operational interface, with all Z-COM APs connecting with zero-barrier compatibility and full backward compatibility for existing deployments.

▌AI-Assisted Operations: Intelligence Embedded in the Architecture

As enterprise infrastructure environments become increasingly distributed and operationally complex, AI-assisted operations are emerging as a critical layer for reducing manual workload, accelerating troubleshooting, and improving operational resilience. AI capabilities in NEW Platform are embedded within the unified operational architecture — not add-on features. The Wireless Visualization module delivers AI-assisted RF analytics. The EMS module applies AI-driven energy analytics to learn consumption patterns and proactively identify cost-reduction opportunities, supporting enterprise sustainability initiatives. The Precision Location module leverages Wi-Fi 7 advanced parameters for asset tracking and operational environment awareness. Witty operates as a dedicated agentic operations layer, continuously sensing infrastructure state and initiating remediation workflows at the edge. All AI services run locally — no external cloud AI dependency required.

▌  Complete Venue Ecosystem

Z-COM’s Computex 2026 booth presents a complete smart connectivity ecosystem for enterprise environments, spanning the Wi-Fi 7/6/5 AP lineup, EMS energy management, and AI-assisted operational services — offering visitors a comprehensive reference for end-to-end smart enterprise deployments.

▌  EXECUTIVE QUOTE

▌ "Connectivity has always been the foundation — but it is no longer the differentiator. NEW Platform enables enterprises to run networking, AI services, and energy management at the local edge, free from cloud lock-in. This is Z-COM's commitment to the edge-native infrastructure era."

——  Catherine Wu, CEO, Z-COM, Inc.
